Lace front wig hairline photos
Of all the things customers care about when selecting a lace front wig, hairlines are probably the most critical factor. Below you can view photographs of several hairlines from zarawigs.com. We show baby hair, natural hairlines, and reverse ventilated baby hair, to provide you with realistic expectations when purchasing a lace front wig.
This is a typical silky haired wig hairline. As you can see, the hair is multi-directionally ventilated to mimic a natural hairline. This wig has baby hair.

This is the hairline on a wig made of bone straight virgin Chinese remy hair, with multi-directional ventilation at the hairline. Since the hair is straight, it has a tendency to fall down, rather than move back. If you wanted this kind of wig to lay back, you'd want the baby hair ventilated going back. |
This is another view of the Chinese wig. In our descriptions for stock wigs, we note whether the hair is bone straight, like this, or is coarser and has more body to it, which would give it a hairline that looks like the first wig in this row. |
This is a typical hairline for someone who has sideburns and wishes to cover them with the wig. We usually ventilate long hair on the sideburns, which isn't how most people's natural hairline looks. Most people who have sideburns have short hair at the sideburns. When that's ventilated onto a wig, it's the same as a natural head of hair, you may need a styling product to get the hair to lay in the direction you want. That's not the best solution. If you want short hairs at the sideburns, we recommend baby hair at least 4 inches long, this way it will have a wispy appearance. |

This wig has a thick hairline. Some people prefer this type of hairline, especially performers. It's easier for them to conceal their own hairline under this type of wig and there is less concern over losing hair at the hairline from adhesive application and removal. Usually the hairline thins out, over a long period of time. |
This is a wig with a coarse curly texture, with the hairline styled with multi-directional ventilation. Multi-directional ventilation is the standard on all our wigs. |
