I'm having problems applying my lace front wig
Sometimes, the excited customer has this fantasy of being able to unpack thier first lace front wig and achieve a flawless application in record time. You've done the research, learned all you can and you're ready. Sometimes, it's frustrating and takes practice to get your application technique just right. Although it's time consuming to practice applying your lace front wig, the results of the perfect application are well worth the effort. The best advice we can give you is to have patience. Set aside plenty of time to apply your unit, don't apply it in a rush, and most of all, be gentle with your unit becuase pulling just a tad too much, or being a little too careless with the scissors can damage the wig cap. Even the most experienced stylists occasionally have a snafu, pulling a wig too tightly or cutting too close to the hairline and experiencing a slip of the scissors.
The most important thing to learn about applying your wig for the first time is if it doesn't fit, don't stretch it. The most common damage to a wig cap is the result of trying to pull and stretch, a cap that is too small, to make it fit. You will notice that when you receive your wig, if you have lace around the perimeter, there is extra lace around the front hairline and the nape. This comes in handy if your cap fits but the hair doesn't quite cover your temples or sideburns. We can add more hair to the wig, our wigmakers are experts at extending a hairline. However, if you have already cut the extra lace away, this will no longer be an option. When you unpack your wig, place it on your head to ensure it fits and the hair covers your own hairline before you begin to cut away the lace or try to apply the unit.
