What are bleached knots and do I need them on my lace front wig?
Some customers request the knots to be bleached on the entire lace front wig. While this is common for men's toupees, the hair on a toupee is shorter and is not subjected to as much stress or friction from styling. Lace front wigs are typically made of longer hair, whcih is often manipulated with fingers, combs or brushes. Bleaching the knots on the entire unit leads to premature, and sometimes excessive, shedding because the bleached knots are weaker.
